Lemon Verbena is a native of Chile, Peru, and Argentina, but is currently cultivated in other tropical regions of Europe. This is a medicinal herb that has been used for centuries in the treatment of a number of ailments.

Lemon verbena is a bright, sweet herb that can really add to your cooking. It also has a wide range of medicinal properties. The herb is widely used in traditional medicine systems for its bactericidal, antiseptic, tonic, and anti-spasmodic properties.

Lemon verbena benefits may include relief from digestive complaints (gas, indigestion, constipation). The tea can also reduce stress, boosts the health of the nervous system, and can bring relief with fever and cold symptoms.

It is known to calm nerves so is widely used for anxiety and stress-related insomnia, mental exhaustion, and even heart palpitations. It is often recommended for reducing the pains of PMS (pre menstrual syndrome).

Storage and shelf life

Store tea in a dry and sealable food storage container. Keep the container in a cool, dry and dark area out of the sun and heat. Keep the container away from liquids that may leak into it.
