About Beluga Lentils Organic
Beluga lentils are a type of small, black lentil, which get their name from their resemblance to Beluga caviar. They are grown in the cool, dry climates of Canada and America’s northern plains and are less common than red, yellow and green lentils.
Beluga Lentils readily absorb the flavors of the ingredients they are cooked with, making them super versatile. They hold their shape well during cooking, so they’re great for salads.
Organic Black Beluga lentils provides high levels of protein and dietary fiber, while being naturally low in fat and sugar.
Storage and shelf life
Store beluga lentils in a dry and sealable food storage container – we recommend glass. Keep the container in a cool, dry and dark area out of the sun and heat.
