About Sunflower Seeds Organic
Sunflower seeds originate from Mexico and Peru where native Americans used various parts of the sunflowers for over 5000 years. Also called sunflower hearts or cracked sunflower seeds, these seeds are a superior source of fat, fiber, protein, and vitamins.
Our organic sunflower seeds add special taste and nutritional value to bakery products, salads, dressings, trail mixes, cereals, cookies, or simply as an energy snack! They are certified organic hulled seeds without salt, preservatives or oils. Sunflower seeds have a mild, nutty flavor and a firm but tender texture. They’re often roasted to enhance the flavor, but we recommend you buy them raw
Storage and shelf life
Store sunflower seeds in a cool, dry, airtight container, away from the sunlight and heat. It’s a good idea to store in the refrigerator too, the coolness helps the seeds maintain freshness and allows them to last longer.
Sunflower seeds, when stored properly, will keep their taste and texture for up to 1 year.
