About Dried Forest Mix Mushrooms
Our Forest Mix Wild Mushrooms are a flavorful unique collection of 8 different products: Porcini, Black Trumpets, Chanterelles, Oyster and Shiitake all hand-picked wild mushrooms from the Greek woodlands.
The Forest Mix Wild Mushrooms grow under fir, oak or beech trees where the ideal microclimate of wet weather and sunshine collaborate to produce firm and clean mushrooms. The best quality mushrooms are selected and immediately after harvesting, sorted, cleaned and dried , utilizing the most ecofriendly technology: the sun!
Their solar drying technology significantly improves the quality of dried mushrooms in terms of color, texture, and taste, boosting the intensity of the flavours. The main advantage of solar drying is the natural enrichment of mushrooms with vitamin D, as ergosterol is converted to ergocalciferol under exposure to the natural UV light of the sun.
Storage and shelf life
Dried mushrooms hold up best when they’ve been stored in an airtight container. Keep them in a dark, dry place like the back of your cupboard or even your freezer. As long as they’re kept dry, dried mushrooms can last indefinitely.

How to use
Rehydrate the dried mushrooms in hot water for 60 minutes. Drain them in a fine sieve. You have to cook the rehydrated mushrooms just like the fresh ones.
You should also take advantage of the delicious and potent broth that was created from rehydrating the dried mushrooms.
To give dishes an extra flavor and texture, you can also grind dried porcini into a powder and sprinkle it over cold and hot dishes just before serving.
