About Sencha Sakura Tea Organic

Sencha is a green tea with deep green color and fresh taste. It is a whole-leaf tea that can be enjoyed hot or cold and makes up over half of Japan's yearly tea harvest.

Storage and shelf life

Store Sencha Sakura in a dry and sealable food storage container – we recommend tined glass or stainless steel. Keep the container in a cool, dry and dark area out of the sun and heat. Sunlight and heat can reduce the flavouring quality of the herbs. Keep the container away from liquids that may leak into it.

When properly stored, Sencha Sakura has a shelf life of up to 1 year.

Shipping and delivery

The product is available for delivery and pick up from our store in de Pijp.

The product is delivered in recycled paper bags.

How to use

Put the tea in a teapot at the rate of 2 g per 100 ml and add hot water (70°C). Make sure the water is not boiling because that might lead to bitter cup. Also keep in mind that Sencha also requires a short brewing time; don't go beyond 2 minutes.
